Directions to the Northern Light Zen Center

The Northern Light Zen Center is located at 21 Thompson Street in Brunswick, Maine - approximately 30 minutes north of downtown Portland; 40 minutes south of Augusta; and 45 minutes east of Lewiston/Auburn.

To reach Brunswick from South

  1. Take the Maine Turnpike North to Exit 52 (I-295 to Coastal Route 1) at Portland.
  2. Continue North on I-295 to past Falmouth, Cumberland, Yarmouth and Freeport.
  3. Take exit 28 for US-1 North toward Coastal Route/Brunswick/Bath .

To reach Brunswick from the North

  1. Heading southbound on the Maine Turnpike from Augusta, take Exit 103 at Gardiner onto I-295 South
  2. Continue south on I-295 past Richmond, Bowdoinham and Topsham.
  3. Take exit 28 for US-1 North toward Coastal Route/Brunswick/Bath.

To reach Brunswick from the West (Lewiston/Auburn area)

  1. From Lewiston/Auburn, take Lisbon Rd/Lisbon St/ME-196 east toward Topsham.
  2. In Topsham, take I-295 southbound for approximately 2.5 miles
  3. Take exit 28 for US-1 North toward Coastal Route/Brunswick/Bath.

  1. Once on Route 1 proceed toward the business district about one mile, going straight ahead on Pleasant Street as Route 1 veers off to the left at a stoplight.

  2. Follow Pleasant Street up a rise and then down on the backside.

  3. Turn right on Spring Street.

  4. Follow Spring Street to the end and turn right onto Thompson Street. Go two houses in on the left; street number 21.

  5. The house is a beige cape with a dark green front door. Enter at the right side breezeway door. Please park in driveway or in front of house.

Parking

In fair weather, on-street parking is available. However, we ask that you be considerate of our neighbors and refrain from parking opposite of driveways (Thompson Street is narrow, and it makes it difficult for people to enter or exit their homes).

If street parking is dangerous due to snow conditions or is otherwise unavailable, parking is available at the Coffin School at the end of Thompson Street.

Lost?

Find Maine Street of downtown Brunswick and head south out past Bowdoin College. Thompson Street is just past the college on the right. If you go one block too far you pass Warming's Market a mom-and-pop IGA on the right. The house is one block in on the left.
